Three Saints Outdoor officially began in 2013, but our roots go back to the mid-80s under Mark Fulton, in Big Bear Lake, CA. John met Mark in 1995 (as a middle school student), and thought, "that's what I want to be when I grow up." In Summer 2006, John was offered a rep position with Mark's agency, managing So Cal and Arizona for JanSport packs.
In 2008, Mark's agency expanded to cover the Pacific Northwest, and Mark offered John a relocation opportunity to the new territory. In Spring 2011, tragedy struck, and Mark was promoted to heaven due to a rare blood disease (amyloidosis). John was devastated to lose his mentor, and after working the PNW for two more years after Mark's passing, decided to relocate back home to So Cal. Before moving back, John worked with industry leaders to rename Mark's legacy event "The Mark Fulton 8,000 Meter Challenge." John served as 8,000 Meter Challenge event director from 2006 - 2018.
In 2013, John met Tom Caldwell and Marisa Klein, the Marmot agency principals, and was offered his old territory of So Cal / Arizona, this time for Marmot. John worked with Tom and Marisa for 5 years, and eventually they transitioned the business over to John.
Three Saints Outdoor now covers 9 states in the West, and have assembled one of the best rep teams in the outdoor industry, which you can read about in profiles below!

Worst Fail/ Jerry Moment: When I was a young nordic ski racer I wore the old high school ski teams suit because they were so much cooler than our new ones but they were too big and when I went down a hill, I fell and my spandex fell all the way to my ankles during a night race. Luckily no one saw me :)
